Don Waite (guitar, vocals) and Judy Young (flute) formed SyncronicityJazz in 2003, when they realized their common interest in jazz and blues, and playing music live. The complimentary tones of guitar and flute, along with lyrics from the Great American Songbook make for a unique and appealing listening experience.
Judy has formal training in piano and flute. She began classical piano study at age 6 and classical flute in 2002. Judy has a lifelong exposure to and passion for jazz. She plays her flute with the Regina Community Orchestra. Judy’s most recent musical interest is the Ukelele.
Don has studied classical guitar and voice and has taught classical guitar at the Regina Conservatory of performing Arts since 1976. He has sung in musicals and choirs, currently in the Luther Bach Choir. Don also composes environmental songs and musicals for all ages and has performed them throughout North America.
